Our maternity service is one of the largest in Kent, delivering around 5,000 babies a year. This comprises obstetric led care in the delivery suite and midwife-led care at The Birth Place. As well as actively supporting home birth for women with uncomplicated pregnancies. Women and their partners giving birth at our Trust are offered personalised, support to help them to have the best possible experience of pregnancy, delivery and recovery period.

Facilities

The Delivery Suite is a consultant-led unit which has a multidisciplinary team approach to caring for you and your baby; care is provided by midwives, obstetricians, neonatal staff, maternity care assistants and students.

Our en-suite birthing rooms and pool room offer a safe environment where our staff will empower and enable you to make informed decisions around your care.  We also offer wireless fetal monitoring for high-risk pregnancies, where possible.
